Penobscot Theatre Company has issued an open casting call for roles in their exciting 2021-2022 Season! Extending from November through July, the season includes six professional productions with a variety of roles available. Any age** individuals wishing to be considered are encouraged to attend. Auditions will be held Saturday, October 2 and Sunday, October 3 from 11:00am to 4:00pm at 51 Main St in Bangor. Auditionees will be pre-scheduled in seven-minute slots.
Individuals should prepare a two-minute contemporary monologue (memorized), and bring a headshot and resume stapled together. Vocalists should also be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song of their choosing. An accompanist will be provided, but vocalists must bring sheet music. Cold readings from provided material may also be requested.

Hobbs, “We know members of our community, performers and patrons alike, have been anxiously awaiting the return of live theatre. We are thrilled to provide an opportunity to showcase local talent once again and look forward to seeing faces old and new.”
Interested parties must send an email to casting@penobscottheatre.org with the subject line “General Audition Request,” and include in the body of the email the name, age, and phone number of the individual (and accompanying guardian if applicable) who wishes to audition and whether or not they will sing. Please note day preference and any time conflicts within the audition window. Requests may take up to five days to process and time/day preferences will be filled as received.
If you recently attended the Youth/Young Adult Auditions or submitted digitally, you do not need to audition again.
BIPOC, AAPI, and individuals of all backgrounds and identities are encouraged to attend.
Callbacks will take place throughout the Fall.
