Giving Day | May 20, 2025
What is Giving Day?
Giving Day is an online 24-hour marathon fundraising event that provides an opportunity for folks from all over the world to give to PTC. We gather donations by activating personal networks – asking friends, families, and colleagues to donate on May 20, 2025.
We’ve chosen to have a Giving Day to raise money for both of PTC’s wings – the Professional Theater and the Theater Education wing – we hope that by engaging folks in a one day call to action that we will be able to raise significant funds and awareness of the full scope of PTC’s work.
Information will be updated every two hours, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., you can find out what challenges are still available, and what goals have been met. Challenges are calls to action to solicit support or show your support of PTC.
Matching Opportunities
- Northern Light Health Week Charity Challenge 9am to 11am. The Medical Education Team at Northern Light raised funds from May 12th to May 20th. We will announce that total and seek to match those funds. This Challenge is sponsored by the Medical Education Team at Northern Light.
- DA Class Time Matching: ALL gifts made by DA parents between 10am and 11am EST will be matched (Up to an accumulated total of $1,000 in gifts of any size).
- Bright Lights, Bright Smiles – 3pm to 4pm – Let’s Shine Together and raise $1000 in an hour so we can unlock $1000 Pledged by Fairmount Dental!
- Rocky Horror Challenge 5pm to 7pm EST – First Two Hours of Rocky Horror Rehearsal – Rocky Horror was released in 1975 so ALL gifts made between 5pm and 6pm EST will be matched up to an accumulated total of $1,975. Pledged by Inspired Consulting Group.
All-Day Participation Challenges
- If donations of any amount are made in honor of 15 different PTC past or present ensemble members an additional $1000 matching fund gift will be unlocked
- For every 100 unique donors who contribute any amount, an additional $1000 matching fund gift will be unlocked
- Good Neighbor Challenge – Jillian Sarnacki-Wood is collecting donations from our Downtown Bangor Neighbors. If we meet the goal of $500, we’ll trigger $500 from our matching fund.
- PTC’s Board of Directors generously donated $11,550 in Matching Funds for Giving Day. To trigger the funds, we have to raise $11,550. Our question is, can we go higher?
How to Help
Get the word out in support of PTC! Invite your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and business associates to join you in supporting PTC and DA. Remember, the more support given, the better your chances of unlocking matching funds to double your gift!
