HONK! JR is a musical adaptation of the ugly duckling.  Mama Duck Ida doesn’t know what to do with her little odd duckling; called Ugly by his brothers and sisters.  He doesn’t quack at all, only honks!  So Ugly goes on a journey to figure out who he really is.  HONK! is filled with incredibly catchy musical numbers that involve the whole cast and will be accompanied by a live pit band.

The students are sure to have a blast putting together this silly, sweet musical.  All students enrolled will be cast in HONK! and perform the musical on the Bangor Opera House stage in April. Class time will be spent learning blocking, choreography and music for the show.  Rehearsals will be held at 84 Harlow Street in Bangor.  A fun filled class for new and returning musical theater enthusiasts!

Please note: 6th graders are welcome to participate in both Teen Thespians and Elementary Entertainers.  There is no tuition discount for doing both productions.

Every student belongs in Dramatic Academy.  Scholarship applications and payment plans available upon request.  Please email education@penobscottheatre.org for more information.
