Tuesday: Magic
Throughout the day, students will explore the subtle art of magic by learning the basics of sleight of hand, mentalism, misdirection, and of course, presentation with returning guest artist, Andrew Silver. They will get hands-on experience by practicing magic techniques with cards, coins, rope, and many other common household items. By the end of the workshop they will have an understanding of how to make an object disappear and reappear before your eyes, predict what choices you will make, and even read your mind!
Andrew Silver is an international circus artist specializing in juggling, magic, physical comedy and mime. He has been writing and performing one-man circus shows for over 10 years. He has performed at many prestigious venues including Stonington Opera House, MIT, Aida Cruises, Waldo theater, and many more. Andrew is excited to share his decade of experience as he teaches the art of clowning at the Penobscot Theater this summer. For more info on Andrew, check out his website at www.andrewsilver.com.
