Building a Relationship between the Business of Theatre Arts and Business
The Bangor Opera House is the last remaining theater in what used to be a constellation of Opera Houses in downtown Bangor. The Bangor Opera House which is the home of The Penobscot Theatre Company is still a functioning building with a thriving company. The other theaters have been lost to fire or urban renewal. We stand at the top of Main Street firmly rooted in our Community. To honor those that came before, we’ve renamed our sponsorship levels after three of the venerable theaters – The Gaiety (1855-1911), The Bijou (1912-1973) and The Park (1914-1973).
This year we plan to produce a full season of digital theatre for Maine and the World! Please join us as we reach beyond the borders of our state to show the world – How Life Should Be. We hope you’ll join us!
