Join DA Resident Music Director, Rob Laraway, and Director of Education, Nellie Kelly, for a day filled with singing, dancing and acting.  Campers will work on a song from DA’s upcoming summer camp: Matilda the Musical! By the end of the workshop, campers will find more confidence in their musical theater abilities.

Rob Laraway is a musician and music educator from Orono, ME. He studied music education and philosophy at UMaine, has taught private music lessons for over a decade, and is a regular performer in the Bangor region. Rob was Music Director for PTC’s production of “Mr. Burns, A Post Electric Play” in 2024, “Cinderella” in 2025, and for all DA musicals since fall 2022. Most recently, he was Music Director for “Once Upon a Mattress” with Waterville Opera House, and next up is “Matilda the Musical” with DA this summer!

Nellie Kelly is a theatrical educator and Director of Education for Dramatic Academy at Penobscot Theatre Company.  A UMaine graduate, Nellie was previously the Production Manager and Theatre School Director for the Utah Children’s Theatre for five seasons.  At PTC, she is the lead instructor for Tiny Thespians (school year), Performance Track and Homeschool Troupe as well as the administrator and curriculum author for all other offerings.  Next up is “Matilda the Musical” with DA this summer!
