NEW TO DA SUMMER!  Dramatic Academy is excited to present Summer Vacation Camp!

Based on our popular April Vacation Camp, theatrical campers will work with a new instructor each day about a variety of performance topics.  From clowning and puppetry to costume design and scenic painting, there’s a little something for everyone this August.  Campers can either join us for the full week ($450) or choose their own adventure by enrolling in our daily option ($125/day).  A camp perfect for dramatic kids looking to try a little bit of everything!  Camp will be held at 51A Main Street in downtown Bangor.

Daily Topics:

Monday: Dance Day Learn choreography to hit Broadway songs and the importance of acting through movement. A perfect day for campers interested in grooving and moving to the music

Tuesday: Design Day Campers will take home a shoe box stage complete with scaled down backdrops and scenery. A perfect day for budding painters and artists!

Wednesday: Wig Day Use your imagination to design a fantastical headpiece that would be used on stage. A perfect day for campers interested in design and costumes.

Thursday Improv Day Through improv games and activities, campers will not only discover the importance of “yes and”, but a little about The Bard as well! A perfect day for campers interested inperformance of all kinds.

Friday Puppet Day Use your imagination to design and construct various types of puppets. Campers get to bring their new friends home at the end of the day! A perfect day for campers interested in backstage magic.
