House Manager, Sept. 1 start date
During the run of PTC productions and special events, the house manager oversees the preparation of all public areas of the Bangor Opera House and attends to the needs of the audience and staff pertaining to the facility and related amenities. As a prominent voice and face of the company, this individual must be a dynamic, energetic, highly articulate professional with a strong work ethic, passion for the theatre, and unrelenting focus on results. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus. The position requires a “people person,” who can engage effectively with diverse parties, presenting the theatre’s offerings knowledgably and enthusiastically, and problem-solving expeditiously as issues arise. The position is seasonal, extending from September through May with varying hours aligned with PTC’s production schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. The house manager receives an hourly wage commensurate with experience.
