Dramatic Academy
Penobscot Theatre's Dramatic Academy is committed to providing students of all ages a training ground to explore the performing arts. Through collaboration with professionally trained instructors we strive to foster learning, growth, and skill acquisition amongst our students. In doing so, we look to build a greater community and inspire a lifelong love of theater.
Dramatic Academy Spring Semester 2013
Tiny Thespians: (Jasmine Ireland) March 26 - April 28, Tuesdays 3 -4, Saturdays 10 - 11:30 Ages 4 - 7
Our youngest students will study theater fundamentals including voice, movement, and memorization to perform as ensemble members for our spring production of The Little Prince. Performances April 26 - 28. ($250)
Youth Troupe: (Jasmine Ireland) March 26 - April 28, Tuesdays 4-6, Saturdays 12 - 3 Ages 8 - 12
Youth troupe will explore the process of literature being adapted into a play. With a focus on characterization, movement, and ensemble building, they will play the character roles in our production of The Little Prince. ($500)
February and April Vacation Camps: February 18 - 22/ April 15 - 19 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily Ages 5+
Penobscot Theatre wants to spend vacation with you! PTC's Dramatic Academy will be offering day camps during February and April vacations. Camp will highly flexible - students may attend any or all days. During camp, students will explore acting, movement, theater crafts, improvisation, and games all centered on a theme that will change daily. Please visit our website for registration form.
