Jasmine A. Ireland is pleased to be joining the staff at PTC. Jasmine received her BA in theatre from the University of Maine and her Master of Fine Arts in acting from Actor's Studio Drama School/New School University in NYC. Upon graduation, Jasmine spent several years working in New York as an actor and teaching artist. Since returning to Maine, she has performed with Tenbucks Theater Co., The Grand Auditorium, and Penobscot Theatre appearing in shows such as Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Honey), You're A Good Man Charlie Brown (Lucy), and the world premiere of The Velveteen Rabbit (Vel) . Jasmine recently became a member of the Educational Theatre Association and has been employed at Ellsworth High School as a director, choreographer, and instructor for the past four years and as a guest teaching artist throughout the state. Jasmine has received awards at both the state and national level for her work as a choreographer and director and was included among the list of People to Watch in 2011 by the Bangor Daily News.
